LOCATION: New Delhi is located in the National Capital Territory of Delhi, situated between Himalayas and
Aravalis range in the heart of Indian sub-continent, at an altitude of 213 to 305 meters above sea level. Major part
of the territory lies on the western side of River Yamuna.

POPULATION: The population of Delhi has increased rapidly in last 10 years. From 400,000 in year 1901, the
population has increased to around a million in 2010.
BEST TIME TO VISIT: Delhi whether is one of extremes. Delhi’s peak season is when the weather is quite
pleasant. Spring is the best time to visit Delhi. While a Delhi has a very brief period of spring in February and
March, September to November also enjoy spring like weather. Most of the festivals and cultural events are during
these months.
The Summer of North India is too hot the weather is dry, hot, harsh and dusty with alot of Power Cuts. The thought
of monsoon can be appealing, but the humidity intensifies the heat, making travel uncomfortable. The summer is
unbearable during months of April to July with temperature rising up to 46 degrees. Winters are mild, with
temperatures sometimes dropping to as low as 4 degrees. Monsoons should be avoided, which last from July to
September, and can result in flooded roads.
