Dal lake is labeled as “The Jewel Of Kashmir”. It is the second largest lake in Kashmir
valley. The lake covers an area of 18 square kilometres. It is main part of attraction. It is not
only a beautiful lake but also a lifeline of Srinagar. The ride of houseboats and shikaras is
ultimate part of joy being in Srinagar. The Mughal gardens are situated along shores present

Hazratbal Shrine:
It is the holiest shrine of Muslims situated near the Dal lake.
Wular Lake:
It is the largest fresh water lake in Asia. It is filled by Jhelum river. It is surrounded by
mountains . It is suitable place for bird watchers as large numbers of birds migrate here from
the different parts of the world. It is also fish habitat.
Shalimar Garden:
Mughal Gardens is always on the list of visiting places of Srinagar . The garden is
situated near the Dal lake offers scenic beauty of latter. All these gardens had been built by
Mughal emperor Jahangir for his beloved wife Nurjhann. The flowers attract visitors . The
garden is the symbol of royalty of Mughal era.
