Jagatjit Singh Club Kapurthala

The Jagajit Club features Greek revival architectural style. It seems that another acropolis of Athens is built in Kapurthala. Its influenced its design from Acropolis of Athens. On the top of the building there is a sign of Coat of Arms which belongs to the former ruling family of Kapurthala which bears the royal motto of the ruling family “Pro Rege et Patria” which means “ For King and country”. The Jagjit Club building witnesses many changes. It was Church at beginning then it turned out to be Cinema Hall. Presently it is a local club and tourist attraction.
