Alabama is the state of miscellaneous race, ethnicity and religion. 80% of the people in the region are Christians, and rest is Mormon, Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, and Hindu. As per the report of U.S. Census Bureau, the majority of people are Catholic, Latter- day-Saints, Baptist, and Episcopalian. According to race demographics, 72.56% people are white, 26.33% black and 1.00% AIAN.
There is very little percentage is of Asian and Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander people in the state. People of Alabama generally speak Alabama language, the family of Muskogean language; it is an indigenous language spoken in south-eastern region of the country. The people of various ethnic groups reside in the state including Coushatta, Hitchiti, Chickasaw, and Choctaw.
