Mangalore is a well-developed city and is connected by all the routes such as airway, railway, buses and sea. The Mangalore International Airport is formally known as Bajpe Airport; it is located just 15 kilometers away from the city and is also the second busiest and the second largest airport in the state of Karnataka.
There are three main bus stands in the city named Dakshina Kannada Bus Operators Association (DKBOA), Canara Bus Operators Association (CBOA), and Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC).
