Located sixty Kilometers North of Bangalore and two hours drive by road will take you to the place
that you cant help but say “wow!”. The hills roams in mist will make the drive never forget experience.
Just outside Bagalore, these are not gently rolling hills, but a giant, 2000-ft granite monolith towering
over you that seems to appear from nowhere. It seems something magical here. Forget all the heat and
dust of Bangalore behind and cobbled paths leading up to the hills full of birdsong, Nandi Hills is the
gateway of nature's paradise for you.
The hills named after the beautiful state of Nandi standing guard outside the Yoganandeeshwara temple
atop the hills. Elsewhere, the peaks give birth to the the rivers Arakavati, Pennar and Palar.
Locals called it Nandidurga, these hills have been favorite for locals and royalty as well. Tipu Sultan
came here for relaxation from the din of battle. Many bungalows the Brits built here still decorating the
hills.
