Gurudwara Keshgarh
It is one of the prominent religious places of Sikhs as it is among the five seats or “Takhts”. It is located on the site where the formation of Khalsa took place. Situated on the Rupnagar Nangal road, it is located on hillock. This Gurudwara is the house of the Weapons used by Guru Gobind Singh. The dome of this Gurudwara is attractive with the Golden Kalash on the top. The sarai (inn) facility of 200 rooms is also attached to the Gurudwara.
Gurudwara Parivar Vichhora Sahib
It is built on the site where Guru Gobind Singh was separated from his family included his wive and two sons when he was attacked by Mughal army while leaving the Aanandpur Fort. The construction of the gurudwara was begun in 1963 and completed in 1975. Shaheedi Jor Mela is held here in December. It is situated nearby to the canal near village Nangal Sirsa, at a distance of about 14 km from Rupnagar.
Gurudwara Bhatta Sahib
It is situated in Kotla Nihang. It is said that Guru ji sought for shelter to the Pathans as the former was being pursued by the ememy forces. Pathans adviced Guru Gobind Singh to stay in the lime klin. Having proceeded to the lime klin the fire went out from there. It was taken by miracle by Pathans and they gave shelter him in their home. At this Guru Gobind Singh presented them some weapons as gifts which are still existed in the Gurudwara.
The Gurudwara was built on this site in 1914 by Baba Jiwan Singh. A fair is held here on 11 August and on December.
Gurudwara Sadabarat
Gurdwara Sadabarat is situated on Nangal Road. It is said to have been built in 1930.
The site of this Gurudwara is supposed to be visited by the Gurus such as Guru nanak Dev, Guru Hargobind , Guru Har Rai ,Guru Har Kishan, Guru Tegh Bahadur and Guru Gobind Singh. Raja Bhup singh started a Langar service (Community Kithcen) here.
Jateshwar Mahadev Temple, Jatwahar
It is the ancient temple in Jatawar in Nurpur Bedi. A large fair is held here on the occasion of Shivratri.
Bhakra Nangal Dam
It is the one of the highest straight gravity concrete dams in the world. It is 96 km in length with the total storage capacity of 7.8 million acre feet of water. It supplies electricity to the many houses and industries in North India.
Often termed as “The hallmark of science and modern technology” it is the popular tourist destination. It is surrounded by the peaceful Shivalik hill ranges and constructed over the spectacular Satluj river.
Cafeteria is also provided at the top of the dam. The tourist facilities are available at Nangal TownShip which is about 13 km from Bhakra.
Place of Treaty
This place reminds about the treaty between William Bentick and Maharaja Ranjit Singh under a Peepal tree on 26th October, 1831. It is situated on the bank of Satluj River.
