NIZAM’s MUSEUM positioned in the Purani Haveli. This museum was acquired as palace by second
Nizam in year 1750 and later converted into museum with delight collection. The museum displays the
gifts and mementos exhibit to the last Nizam on the silver jubilee celebrations in 1936. Rolls Royce,
Packard and a Mark V Jaguar are the one of the cars displayed in 1930. There is an amazing collection
of silver models of all the eminent buildings of the city in Urdu about H.E.H Mir Osman Ali Khan,
gold polished wooden throne used for the silver jubilee celebrations, gold tiffin box in laid with
diamonds, gold model of Jubilee Pavilion, silver coffee cups studded with diamonds and silver filigree
elephant with mahout are some of the notable items on display. Except Friday Nizam's Museum is open
between 10.00 am and 5.00 pm. Museum is 2 Km far from Charminar and 1 Km far from Salar Jung
museum.
SALAR JUNG MUSEUM is preserve precious treasure of art and history. It is the world's biggest
collection of a single man. It showcases the collection of Salar Jung Family. More than 40,000 things
including books, swords, statues and porcelain items are in this museum. Veiled Rebecca, a white
marble statue and 100 year old, is the main attraction of the museum. The Islamic art forms such as
illuminated Korans, jeweled swords, daggers and Persian carpets are collected from all over Asia. It
also displays an splendid European collection such as paintings and sculptures.
