Coimbatore is the second largest city after Chennai in Tamil Nadu state of India. It is Situated at the
banks of the river Noyyal, surrounded by the Western Ghats range. City welcomes the tourists not only
from India but also from abroad to enjoy real adventure of its reserve forests and wild life sanctuaries,

Madhumalai Wildlife Sanctuary is tiger reserved area, that is situated at distance of 150 km
from city Coimbatore. It is one of the oldest wildlife sanctuaries in the Country. Chital, Endangered
elephants, vulnerable Gaurs and Bengal Tigers are the most spotted animals of park, apart from these
animals park has also endangered species like Indian White-rumped Vulture and long billed Vulture.
Kodaikanal
It is one of the most visited hill stations of South India, situated at Palni hills, it is 138 km away from
city Coimbatore. Coaker's Walk and Kukkai cave are the major attractions of this area. One can enjoy
the murmuring sound of Bear Shola Falls, besides this Kodai lake and Bryan Park are also famous
places to visit.
Thirumurthy Dam
Situated at the base of Thirumurthy Hills, place is just 20 km away from Udumalpet, it has also
beautiful Amalingeswarar temple which is dedicated to deity Ammlingeshwara.
Annamalai Wildlife Sanctuary
Situated along the western ghats, Sanctuary was established in 1976, that covers an area of 108 square Kms.
Gaur, Tiger, Panther, Sloth bear, Elephant, Pangolin, Black headed oriole, Green pigeon and Civet cat are the
easily spotted animals of park.
