Youth Hostels Association of India is a leading Non-Government and an ISO 9001-2008 certified organization. It was started by a German school teacher, Mr. Richard Schirrmann in 1912 in Altenia, Germany. YHAI also has a wide range of network in more than 20 states with over 70 hostels for youth in India. The organization was started with the objective to provide hostel facilities at reasonable rates for millions of youth.
