Scottish Church College was started in 1830 as the General Assembly's Institution and provided its current title in 1929 is an organization born out of one such inspiration. The college originator, Rev. Alexander Duff, was the first missionary to India. His thought was to create an organization which linked European education with Christian mission and the ultimate success of the persons.
