Maharashtra Institute of Technology - MIT Pune was founded in 1983. With due respect and importance to the IT Revolution and being a technological institution, MAEER's MIT Pune has taken all the steps to provide its students with all the advantages this revolution has to offer. With its help the college has transformed MAEER's MIT Pune campus into a true e-campus with a total of 400 computers connected with fiber-optic backbone networks and server-client technology.

The.....Continuing reading campus hostel of Maharashtra Institute of Technology - MIT Pune is situated at Paud Road in salubrious and lush green surroundings. Sufficient hostel accommodation is available on campus for both boys and girls. All the hostel buildings have 24 hrs security guards. Boys' hostel is a five storey building and provides accommodation to 400 students. Two separate buildings are meant for Girl-students, one in MIT School / Hostel campus near MIT boy’s hostel, with a capacity of 300 girl-students and the other building is situated in the MIT College Campus, providing accommodation to 175 girl-students.

There are different facilities that are provided in hostel of Maharashtra Institute of Technology - MIT Pune such as - canteen, public phone, cold drinking water, hot water for bath, etc. For entertainment the T.V. sets are accessible in recreation halls. But, viewing time is pre-defined. A Doctor visits the hostel, twice a week for medical check-up.

Maharashtra Institute of Technology - MIT Pune offers Post Graduate and Under Graduate Courses to the students. Courses such as Master of Business Administration, Bachelor of Technology and Master of Technology in various specializations are offered. It also offers many certificate courses to the college students.

The Placement Training cell of Maharashtra Institute of Technology - MIT Pune helps the students to enhance soft-skills, group discussion and aptitude test capabilities as well as interview techniques. Special training courses are arranged for students and faculty by world prominent industrial organizations to make them conversant with the ever-changing industrial requirements. It organizes several technical workshops, lectures and seminars in collaboration with the industrial partners.

Local industrial tours give firsthand experience in industrial practices to the students. The Training cell of Maharashtra Institute of Technology - MIT Pune has a double motive. It helps students to improve their employability as well as their entrepreneurial capability. The cell’s ambition is to encourage the students to become employment generators.
