To be considered for the programme candidates are required to hold the Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) with the BPS, a good first degree in psychology (i.e. 2:1) with evidence of an ability to undertake professional training and research to a doctoral level, some experience of training in and/or working with counseling skills in an appropriate setting, personal maturity and self-reflective capacity, as well as a clear rationale for wanting to become a counseling psychologist.
