BA Economics in University of Exeter
1) The study of Economics requires students to have a broad range of knowledge and skills with Mathematics as a key tool for analysis. We receive a large number of applications from well-qualified applicants and although our typical offer is A*AA-AAB, we may not be able to make offers to all those applicants who have achieved or are predicted A*AA-AAB.
2) Our selectors prefer applicants to be offering grade A at GCE A level Mathematics (or grade 6 at Higher Level in the IB) as this provides an excellent preparation for our degree programmes. We also prefer to see subject combinations which demonstrate both analytical and writing abilities.
3) There is no requirement for you to have studied Economics, although some of our applicants may have taken Economics to at least GCE AS level. Please note that if you are offering both Economics and Business Studies at GCE A level, then only one will count as an acceptable GCE A level alongside two other subjects.
