1) Due to the very high demand for places, we are unable to consider any new applications to this programme for entry in 2010. We continue to accept applications for 2011 entry.
2) Prospective students for this MSc Programme come with a wide range of admission qualifications, and each application is considered on its own merits. Entry to the Programme will normally require a UK first or 2:1 honours degree, or its equivalent if obtained from outside the UK, preferably in engineering, or a physical science.
3) Applicants with backgrounds in other fields may be accepted if the University can be satisfied that the necessary mathematical and technical skills have been acquired elsewhere (eg in industry).
4) In addition, students for whom English is not their first language must provide evidence that they meet the English requirements, typically by presenting an IELTS or TOEFL with sufficient scores.
