Temple City Jammu

Jammu is also known as Duggar, is one of the three administrative divisions within Jammu and Kashmir, the northernmost state in India. Jammu City is also known as "City of Temples" as it has many temples and shrines, with glittering shikhars soaring into the sky, which dot the city’s skyline, creating the ambiance of a holy and peaceful Hindu city.

Jammu is the jeweled crown of India with extravagant beauty of Himalayas. Nestling in the foothills of the Himalayas, with the river Tawi flowing alongside, is the place that Raja Jambu Lochan discovered one day while he was on a hunting trip, where he decided to build a city. Today, as if in testimony to Raja Jambu Lochan’s vision, the city of Jammu has come to be known as the ‘City Of Temples’.
