The city is well known for their culture and festivals. Chhath Puja is the most important festival in the city. The maximum festivals of the Sasaram city, is celebrated in the temples. Tara Chandi festival is one of the most famed events of the city. On this day thousands of devotees come from the carried areas and take part in this annual event. Tilauthu Mela is also the very unique and special fair, which organized amid October and November.
Karma Festival is another remarkable celebration of the city which has been set apart as Mahotsava or Super Festival by the Tourism Department. The celebration is praised by the genetic in the region of Rohtasgarh Fort. The celebration keeps running for around 3-4 days. Aside from it, the city additionally celebrates prominent celebrations as Guru Purnima, Karthik Purnima, Holi, Dusshera, Diwali and other basic Indian Festivals.
