Sagar is the home of many artists, poets, famous writers and other personalities and is also well known for its cultural heritage. People here follow Bundeli culture. Saira, Moni and Dhimaryai are the very popular folk dance forms. Saria dance is performed by carrying two sticks in both the hands just like Dandia, Baredi dance is performed after the Diwali and Dhimaryai is the folk dance. Sagar is also well known for its varied artisan craft, as most of the handicraft work here is done by the tribal communities. The city also hosts colorful festivals with great pomp. Holi is the shining festival of this city, which is celebrated with great zeal and besides these Ganesh Chaturthi and Diwali are also celebrated with full glory.
