An optimistic green thermal plant is being built by L&T near Nalash village in Rajpura. The power capacity up to a total of 2100-mw will be added in a phased manner. This thermal plant will be one of a kind in India. This power plant agreement was signed in the month of January in the year 2010 under the power purchase agreement.
Rajpura Special Economic Zone (SEZ) is also one of the pioneer integrated IT and Knowledge hubs in Punjab.
