Places To See In Nashik

SITA GUMPHA: This cave is located near the five Banyan Trees in Panchavati. Panchavati is a tiny village located in the northem part of Nashik. The place is legendary as Lord Rama had a spent 14 years in exile here.There exists a narrow staircase to enter the cave. It is believed that Ravana had kidnapped Sita from this place. You can also see the idols of Lord Rama, Laxamna and Sita inside the cave.

DUDHSAGAR WATERFALL: Dudhsagar Waterfalls is a pet spot fir the youth who come here often to liven up their Soul. It is situated at Someshwar. The waterfalls are amongst the top 100 water falls of the world. 10 metres long and the water is milky white. The rock has steps chiseled on it for easy access and the place is a major attraction especially just after the rains. The view from the top of the falls is breathtaking.

SOMESHWAR: There are temples of Lord Shiva and Lord Hanuman on the banks of the river Godavari at Someshwar. This is a very green place besides the wheather is so cool.One can also enjoy swimming and boating here. Because of its serene beauty, this place is favourite for film shootings.
