Dances Kurukshetra

Ras Leela
This form of dance is perfomed through the story of gopis who are dancing around Krishna.

Phag dance
It is seasonal dance which is perfomed in the March.
Loor: It is the famous dance of Haryana. It is performed around the Holi festival and is very popular in the Bangar. Girls usually participate in this dance wearing their traditional dress of 'Ghagra',  'Kurti', 'Chundri' and 'Chunda'.

Gugga dance

Gugga is worshiped all over Haryana. Gugga Pir is worshipped by both Hindus and Muslims. It is done in a procession held about a week before the Gugga naumi. The devotees sing and dance in praise of Gugga. The dance is go together with musical instruments like 'Deru', 'Thali' and 'Chimta'.

Jhumar dance

This dance is performed  by women. The dance is performed to the beats of dholak and thali.

Teej dance

It is perfomed by the girls

Chaupaiya

This dance is performed by men wearing 'Dhoti', 'Kurtas' and colorful turbans. They dance to the beats of 'Manjiras', 'Chimta' and 'Nagadas'on the occasion of harvesting.

Folk Music
Folk Music runs into the veins  of Haryanvi people. Their attachment towards the music can be known from this fact that many villages  in Haryana such as Nandgam, Sarangpur, Bilawala, Brindabana, Todi, Asaveri, Jaishri, Malakosha, Hindola, Bhairavi, Gope Kalyana, etc. Similarly, in Jind district there are Jai Jai Vanti, Malavi has been named after the classical ragas. The classical music of Haryana mythological in  nature while the countryside or the folk songs are carried the theme of separation, joy, and sorrows. Some ballads are devoted to the folk stories such as Purana-Bhagata.  Folk songs are the part of marriage ceremony, religious ceremony and the birth of child. Bansi(flute), Sarangi, veena, sarangi, nagaara, taasha etc are the musical instruments used with these songs.

Saang
It is an open air theatre perfomed by ten to twelve persons can be lasted for 5 hours. In short it is play of disguise that is suggested from its title 'Sang' or 'Swang' means a disguise or 'to impersonate'.
