Ghaziabad is a deliberate industrial city in the state of Uttar Pradesh. It is one of the headquarters of its district. The city was once a part of Meerut until its independence. Independence was give due to political intervention and Meerut was divided into two halves. The name of the city was given by its founder “Ghazi-ud-din”. After a long time it was called as Ghaziabad; to make it diverse.
At present the city is considered as the industrial zone of the state. Main industries of Ghaziabad are manufacturing diesel engines, railway coaches, paint, heavy chains, and tapestries. The city is well connected and adjacent to Delhi. It makes visiting Ghaziabad an enjoyable experience.
Besides the industries Ghaziabad offers some most interesting sites to visit. These are Mud Fort, wildlife sanctuary, various historical places like Neemrana etc. other attraction of the city is the celebration of festivals. The festivals like Holi, Janamastimi, Naga Panchami, Ram Navami, and Shivratri are celebrated with huge excitement.
