Wreckage of IAF missing AN-32 plane found in Arunachal Pradesh
The IAF (Indian Air Force) on Thursday proclaimed the 13 travelers of the missing AN-32 dead. The IAF mourned their passing and said that the force stood by their families. A rescue task had initiated at the accident site of the airplane that disappeared on 3 June and was spotted 16 kilometers north of Lipo in Arunachal Pradesh by Mi-17 helicopters on Tuesday. News organization ANI said in a tweet, ALH (Advanced Light Helicopters) and Mi17s of Indian Army are being used for the rescue task that started Wednesday morning. With eight team individuals and five military workforces personnel on board, the IAF airship lost contact with the ground control before it went off radar on 3 June. An IAF authority said after analyzing the wreckage of the A 32, a Cheetah helicopter and an ALH chopper achieved the accident site however couldn't land because of high altitude and dense forest. The IAF had on Saturday declared a reward of Rs 5 lakh to anybody giving data about the area of the AN-32 transport aircraft after rough climate hampered search activities.
