You sometimes feel as if you have fallen into a ditch and you’re trying to get out but you have nothing to hold on. It’s dark and cold and you’re helpless. You look around but find nothing. You try to feel for something but you’re alone.
Just as you’re about to give up, a voice from deep inside you whispers, ‘You are not alone.’ Think of it, it happens with most of us, isn’t it?
You think it’s your mind playing tricks but it’s the Lord reminding you. He is still by your side no matter how alone you feel. And to show you his love and compassion and also exhibits you to a tiny light flickering from somewhere and as you make your way towards this tiny flicker of light, a hand rests on your shoulder and a friend helps you out of the ditch into the light.
Many times we feel like the Lord has forsaken us but all we really need is to keep our faith because he does not want to ever let us suffer.
He is only helping us to grow stronger. People may leave us every minute of the day and they might hurt us a lot but, God in time will show us that these people are not needed by us.
The ones whom we really need will never leave us and even though time and distance may keep us apart, they are always there to hold us up when we fall or to lend us out of the ditches we fall into in our lifetime.
Humans may be fickle minded but the Lord is true to us. People will change their minds about how they feel about us with just a word but, the Lord constantly loves us unconditionally.
We cannot hold on to someone who will be happy with us one day and unsatisfied with us the next; instead it is more reasonable to be true and loyal to the ‘One’ who will (no matter what mistakes we commit) forgive and love us constantly.
If we really care enough for people it’s best to set them free and if they are happy without us, then it’s just best to let them go and enjoy their lives.
I have Mom, Dad, my Sister and the good friends I can lean on. So instead of brooding over the ones who are leaving let me be free and happy for the Lord has blessed me tremendously with those whom I have in my life.
