HELB Stands for Higher Education Loans Board. HELB was established in the year of 1995. HELB provides all type of the education loans for the students. It provides more facilities about the education. It is the leading financer in the Kenya. HELB Works under the rule of the Higher education, science and technology and also provides the facilities of loans, scholarships to the Kenyas for the further higher education. All students of the Kenya get higher education at Makerere; Nairobi and Dar es Salaam universities get loans to cover their tuition and personal needs. Those loans would repay after completion on their studies.
There is a rule to get the education loans for the studies. Agreement will be signed by the owner of the loan. Since 1952 Higher Education Loan Board recover all loans given to former university students by the Government of Kenya through HELF. It establishes a Revolving Fund can be drawn to lend out to needy Kenyan students. The revolving fund was established to ease pressure on the exchequer in financing education.
