Daikin is formally known as Daikin Industries Limited, is a Japan-based multinational and leading air conditioner manufacturer company. Daikin was founded by Akira Yamada in October 25, 1924, as Osaka Kinzoku Kogyo Limited, Partnership with the purpose of the manufacturing premium quality air conditioner for all classes. The headquarters of the company is situated in Osaka, Japan with activation of business promoters throughout the world in the form of branches, authorized service centers, retailer dealer, etc. Daikin Industries Limited is second largest heavy air conditioner manufacturer company worldwide after Carrier Corporation.
Daikin had developed Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) air conditioning systems which titled as Variable Refrigerant Volume or VRV by Daikin and it also counted as the innovator of Split System Air Conditioning Market. With the help of Carrier Corporation, Daikin has invented R-410A refrigerant.
Initially, Dainkin was known as the Osaka Kinzoku Kogyo LP. In 1963, company was renamed to Daikin Kogyo Corporation after inventing Neoflon. And, in the year of 1982 company found new name Daikin Industries Limited. The company came in limelight after adopting OYL Industries in 2006 and got the position in world's top three air conditioner manufacturing companies.
