The upcoming release of Android operating system is Android 7.0 "Nougat" and it is expected that this version would be released in the month of September, 2016. Android 7.0 Nougat presents extraordinary changes in its development platform and operating system. Android 7.0 presents multiple changes, such as: the Vulkan graphics rendering API, displaying multiple apps on-screen and supporting inline replies to notifications. From the leaked sources, it has been found that only the Nexus line of devices can receive the preview build of Android 7.0 Nougat, but it can vary depending upon the compatibility of different handset. Multi-Window Mode: - Android 7.0 "Nougat" is compatible with its new feature i.e. Multi-window Mode. For instance, if you are using chrome for web browsing and suddenly you want to check your Facebook account, then you just need to long-press the recent apps button and the screen will auto divide in two parts. You can run multiple apps side by side on a phablet, like: the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 and Nexus 6.
Direct Notifications: - With Android Nougat, you have the option to reply directly via notification bar. This will save your time and you will not be required to open apps. This feature was commonly founded in Apple iOS before, but now in Android N, you can also respond to your messages from the notification itself.
New Notifications Panel: - Developers have made changes in the notification panel of Android 7.0 Nougat. It has been totally changed by them. Icons above the notification are now more conspicuous and notifications can be fixed manually as per the importance of each app.
Energy Saving Mode (Doze Mode 2.0): - Previously, this feature only worked when the phone was set completely undisturbed for a long time, but now Google has stated that Doze will save battery when the screen is turned off and Doze mode will help monitor the energy consumption of apps. It will help to limit background and apps activity when the screen is off, hence will improve the battery life.

Secure: - Security is one of the major components in smart phones. In addition to help fixing bugs, several changes have been made to protect it from further vulnerabilities. To guard it from future uncertainties, Runtime integer overflow detection has been implemented in android 7.0 Nougat.
VR Mode and 3D Touch support: - Android 7.0 is fully compatible with its new feature called Force Touch or 3D, which was first declared in the Android 7.0 Nougat, but according to the fresh resources it has not been included in Android 7.0. VR mode also, to help devices run in VR mode for longer periods of time.
