Alagappa University
Algappa University is one of well known education universities in India. The university was formed in the year of 1985 by act of Tamil Nadu Government. The university was incorporated in aim to improve and nature the ongoing or future research of the state, developing youth mind and imparting the knowledge. It is also recognized by University Grants Commission of India and Association of Commonwealth Universities. In university campus, there are eighteen departments, five centers, two constituent colleges. There are large number of colleges which are affiliated to Algappa University. The campus of the university is spread in more than 440 acres of plush green land. The university caters the needs of more than 100,000 students. The AIU also collaborations with some International universities from various countries such as South Korea, West Indies, USA, Malaysia, China, etc.
For foreign students, the university offers various innovative programs. The university offers many courses to students such as M.A in (Tamil, Women's Studies Master of Social Work, Communicative English) M.Sc. in (Mathematics, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Oceanography, Physics), MBA in (Corporate Secretaryship, Banking and Insurance), M.Tech, B.Ed, M.Com, etc. The whole university is equipped with modern classroom and auditorium.
