After protests in the south, Govt tweaks Hindi formula in the draft education plan
The Center has changed its draft education strategy after massive turbulence in the south over the selection of a three-language formula in schools- Hindi, English and the neighborhood native language in non-Hindi states. With regards to the standard of adaptability, students who wish to transform at least one of the three dialects they are studying may do as such in Grade 6 or Grade 7, inasmuch as they can in any case show capability in three dialects (one language at the writing level) in their secluded Board Examinations at some point amid secondary school, says the changed draft. The initial draft required pupils from non-Hindi states to read Hindi and English aside from the provincial dialects. The draft was proposed by the board established by Javadekar when he was HRD minister.
