Aero Contractors is formally known as Aero Contractors Company of Nigeria Limited and simply known as Aero, is a Nigerian based aviation services provider company, wholly owned by the Ibru family. The company was incorporated in the year of 1959 and headquarters of the company is situated in Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Ikeja, Lagos State, Nigeria. Aero Contractors offers a number of aviation services under the surveillance of Nigeria's extensive oil and gas industry. The services offered by the Aero includes helicopter services, fixed wing domestic and international scheduled passenger services and air charter service. Additionally, Aero Contractors is also operated as the third party aircraft.
Initially, the company had started business as an air charter operator but in the 1970's, it started both rotary and fixed wing services to oil, gas and related support companies which working in Nigeria and Wes Africa sub-region. In 2004, Schreiner Airways took over by Canadian Helicopter Corporation (CHC) who also acquired 40% shares of Aero contractors and rest of part remained with the Ibru family group.
