Established In: The five independent institutes of arts, fashion, design and media combined together in 1986 as London Institute and 2004 as University of Arts London. Six distinctive colleges make up the University of Arts London.

Study Centre:The student is well resourced with eight libraries. Students have access to above 400,000 titles, 3,500 journals and periodicals, 10,000 videos and DVD’S, 170 e-resources and over 12,000 e-journals. The campus boost of Stanley Kubrick’s archive, made of film, costumes, scripts, photography, set design and sound recordings. A new building has been established that will have a café bar, learning zone, student centre, student gallery and a radio booth.
One of the unique feature of University of Arts London is that each specialization has it’s own student union mainly for learning and support services. The students union organizes a variety of events and activities. A special learning zone facilitates students with amenities like computers, laptops and presentation rooms. The international centre functions for recruitment and network purposes. The same centre also provides latest information about various colleges under the university as well as administrative updates like course and fees. Each of the college has it’s international office. The Language Centre is solely to provide English and other modern language learning facilities in order to help students reach the required level of the course.
Hostel: The University has 12 accommodation locations from in London for its students. Students under the age of 18 and Disabled student are guaranteed accommodation. Also, priority is given to students from outside London. The residential areas range from, from traditional halls of residence to executive apartments, with 1,750 rooms available in total. Accommodation is not guaranteed to all first year students due to over subscription.
Infrastructure: The main focus of the University is to provide excellent IT deskop services to all the colleges under it. The University has worked alongside ICT consultancy firm Central in developing the strategy, which will include the ability to deliver and maintain a single desktop/application to multiple devices across multiple locations including an ever increasing Apple Mac community where the users can subscribe to the applications they need.
Faculty: University of Arts London has 1228 teaching staff who are professional artist, practitioners, designers critics etc. All new staff, academic staff, undergo 12 month training, during which they are expected to follow a comprehensive induction program. All staff are employed within a common grading structure and work to a common planning, review and appraisal system. All teaching staff are expected to obtain the Postgraduate certificate in Learning and Teaching managed by the Centre for Learning and Teaching in Art and Design and are supported in this through funding and some remission from teaching or other duties. The teaching and research has been judged as ‘excellent’ by peer review. Also University of Arts London is rated by Sundat Times University Guide as UK’s Best Higher Education College and was shortlisted twice as he university of the year.
